Configuring Email using Outlook Express

This document will help the Softecsys dialup user configure their Outlook Express software to be able to receive email via ther Softecsys email account. However, this document will not serve as any kind of advanced tutorial.

Launch Outlook Express..

Go to the Tools menu and choose the Accounts sub menu

Choose the Add tab on the top and select MAIL. This will take you through a wizard to set up the account.

Specifiy the name you would like to have associated with this account. This is not a configuration. Click next...

Enter your Softecsys email address furnished by us. Click next...

Enter the following server information. Click next....

Choose Log on using: and enter your user name in the POP account field, and also enter your password. Click next..

Enter the name you would like to have this profile named with, within your Outlook Express program. This is not a configuration setting, but rather an identifier to you of the account.

You should now be able to send and receive your email with your Softec Systems email account.
